Mon Kou Restaurant

I'd eaten at Mon Kou years ago, and found the food acceptable. I decided to try them again and was sorely disappointed. Our fried appetizers were soggy with oil, the lo mein was flavorless and sticky, and cottage cheese is spicier and more garlicky than the "spicy garlic" veggies we received. I won't be back.

Simply outstanding. Wonderful meal with amazing servers. Clearly this is what a family owned restaurant is supposed to be.

Been eating here for 40+ years. I was 14 the first time our mother took my siblings and me to this restaurant. Great food, reasonably priced and I hit a 5-spot Keno ticket the last time I was there. Win win win!

Don’t go!!! Pick somewhere else!! Your better off in every aspect. I love food. All kinds. But...... when the food comes out room temperature and it’s a meat product that is supposed to be hot. There wasn’t any pride in the food that was served to us. We tried a verity of dishes. Four of them were cold. Not sure what they are thinking there. The other four were ok. You stick to the carpet as you walk around the place. Nothing sanitary going on here. So eaters beware. Very chancy eating anything at this establishment

Straight to the point, this is my first bad review. The food was ready rather quickly, I was impressed until I realized the meat was under cooked. I asked if I could eat in even though I called take out. A simple no would of been fine, but instead he looked at me up and down and with a dark stare he grunted no. Nice place, but the food, well let me not fully express myself. I would of went back but I'm not going to deal with negativity over $10.... Now let's see this b.s reply the owner is going to reply.

Food doesnt seem to be of good quality. Service is great, place is huge. Only been twice, but wouldn't recommend.

Menu is huge, various dishes, everyone at table enjoyed food. Great service and reasonably priced. Try the pork won ton soup

Been coming here for about 40 years. Food has always been great also the service. Love the new bubbling colored water walls that change color, adds to the already warm atmosphere.

this restaurant is out of Massachusetts. I found it by way of Google. "nearest open Chinese food ". the time was approximately 1:25am. they close promptly at 2:am. long story short, the food is/was horrible. tasteless ,sauceless wooden ribs. dry and tasteless pork fried rice. old re-heated chicken wings. got stomach cramps. returned it the next afternoon, and got if not the same, worst quality of food. two thumbs down. I do not recommend this restaurant for anything. (thought about reporting to the board of health )

Stopped in last night, had the sticky chicken wings👍, general tso chicken & some boneless spareribs, all excellant, happy to know the same owners still there, last time I was inside was 30 years ago!

Good place for a different kind of cuisine. It has a good variety of dishes and it has a good service. The price is affordable.

By far the finest and healthiest food around. Awesome bar area. Nice chill space off to the side. Jazzy chill music every other visit but last night. The Christmas music is so gay it gave me anxiety and upset my appetite in wanting to run from the place

To be honest the food was good but not special, it was like chop suey with the special chicken. Still underwhelmed. The atmosphere was clean and inviting.

The server was very helpful , but certain things were just out of his hands. The food was cold even when we sent it back 2 times . Maybe if it was cooked a bit more it would have tasted better , but my party of 6 had a hard time finishing the meal. My niece who isn't a picky eater spit out the food. The only thing I really enjoyed was the rice , beef strips , and tea.

Food is always good! Drinks are delicious too. Great service, open late and plenty of parking. Have a quiet intimate meal or a good bar/pub experience with a nice bar or tables by the bar. Once again Food is delightful and comes out fast. No complaints🎉

Ok so these pictures of the food we got look great well sadly they where not food other then my wanton soup i end up getting was cold or under cook the women was going to say we where lieng when she pick up my dish she smelt it and was like ill take that right off the hole place was cool as hell and staff where super nice give them a shot u might have better time them we did

Everything tasted good. Rice was made a little wet but everything still tasted good.

Thursday night not a full house. Food terrible. Service ok. Quite possibly the worst meal I have ever had. Wouldn’t eat there again.

This used to be one of our fave places but the last couple of times we noticed the food is not up to snuff. Yet the prices were raised. Since then we've found a new place.

I give this 5 stars because it has been here forever, i have fond memories of this place as a kid. The bar is ok, not too bad. Sometimes you get a good drink, and the food is real good.

Always good food this place still the best. Honest people. I forgot my phone there and I realized when I was home already, I located with my watch and it was there, when I call they confirmed it was there and can picked up at the front. I am very grateful for the good food and transparency of honesty with the employees.

Been going here for over 40 years. They've had their ups and downs during that time. But their Head Chef, has been there for over 30 years! That alone says something. The only warning I have is that; the Chefs' days off are Sunday & Monday! Choose another day/night to go, and go either very early in the evening or after 8 pm. It's way too busy there between 5-8 to enjoy your meal. Unless you like crowds and possible mistakes in your order? Otherwise... 请享用

Great service and food. A little pricey. Portion size not huge but good. Very fresh. Side note they don't provide crab Rangoon with pu pu platter you have to by it seperate. 9 out of 10.

This place I found on accident with my partner and chose it because online it showed such interesting decor. We walked in and was greeted by a nice and pleasant man who gave us a table right by the bubbling water wall in which we were in tranced by. We both came for the lunch menu and it was SHMACK! I ordered the L20 General Gau's and my partner got L13 the sweet and sour chicken. I know these two dishes are typical American Chinese dishes, but Mon Kou blew that out of the water. Both dishes were by far the best I've had and trust me, I eat Chinese food like my life depends on it. I totally recommend this place for anyone curious. Cool vibes, great dines.

I am disappointed. We ordered three items rice, shrimp and chicken fingers. It was not filled correctly. When I called to express my disappointment they offered credit for missing dollar amount towards next purchase. I traveled to purchase, called it in and paid. They should have given me a refund off this order. Not next purchase. Not acceptable!!!Going hungry tonight. Thank you mon kou

Poor Manager Response New Years Day 2020. Arrived with party of 8. Unexperienced waiter who tried his best. Should never have been given a large party table. Over one hour wait, not served appetizers, soup or tea. Everything arrived all together and was cold. 2 meals not served and probably would never arrive. Asked Manager to come to our table. His response "what do you want me to do?" WRONG ANSWER TO HOPE RECTIFY the problems. He did not. Only returned to our table with the 2 missing dinners stating the ticket machine in kitchen failed. And what was the kitchen supervisor doing ??? Cold food. Hot water in teapot, no tea, WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.Don't let the crowded parking lot fool you. There are serious problems at this restaurant. SHAME

One of the best Chinese places around. After 20+years, its still in my top 3 of best places. Delicious, fresh, friendly staff, and never a long wait to get seated or for the food to come out!

Food was good but disappointed they had a limited menu on new years day. Some of the things not served were simple items like French fries and onion rings. Disappointing when you have kids.

Fortunately I don't have personal experience. I thought that I'd read the comments first. I know not to waste 45 minutes driving to this place.

Best chow mein. Perfectly seasoned. Never too salty. Baked salt shrimp is always so good. Price certainly went up too much though.

The portions where good but the fried rice was bland. It lacked spices and texture wasn't very appealing to your taste buds. Everything else was fine. The server was very pleasant and the seating wasn't very pleasant at all. Gave it four stars because the server was very good.

Had reservation for Christmas waited over a hour then seated in the bar section with my family of 13.Food was good as usual waitress very nice. Food service very slow Sat down at 510 was not served until 550.For the price of food service should be right on cue

Dirty knife at table setting with dry food on it. No hot water to wash hands in restroom.food was good,waitress was polite.dirty knife no hot water what am I suppose to think.also I have skills in hospitality. I no the rules. This happend once before . Now we have all sorts of virus going on.ther is no excuse for dirty dinner ware.that makes me think how is food prepared.

Have been coming here for 30+ years and could always count on the best food. Now, its hit or miss. Sometimes the food is fresh sometimes it tastes like yesterdays leftovers.To top it off owners can't get fresh rolls from their supplier and now he won't go anywhere else for rolls. Come on now. Get back to good food and customer service

Food here is very good and atmosphere is relaxing. I have been going to lunch here for years and would recommend coming here. Interesting water feature walls that change color. It is mesmerizing to watch!

I first went here about a decade ago, but it's improved a lot since then. It's really beautiful inside, the food is decent, and the prices are good, especially considering how fancy the place is.
